John is Head of the Structured Finance team in Australia and New Zealand and has 18 years experience in risk management, structured finance, capital markets and corporate advisory. Prior to joining ABN AMRO, John was Managing Director of Zurich Capital Markets and prior to that he was the Partner responsible for Financial Risk Management Practice at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. His most recent book, Derivative Maths, was published by John Wiley. Vikas leads ANZ’s Project & Structured Finance business in Asia. He has successfully led various complex and landmark advisory and arranging transactions in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors across Asia. Vikas has extensive experience of structuring transactions in emerging markets of Asia. Prior to joining ANZ, Vikas was a Senior Consultant in the Corporate Finance division of Coopers & Lybrand in New Delhi, India. At Coopers, his responsibilities included origination and execution of privatisation and M&A assignments in the infrastructure sector. He notably advised the Government of India and major European and U.S. utilities in the sale/ acquisition process. Prior to that, Vikas worked with ICICI and was involved in advisory/financing of various energy and Infrastructure projects. Prior to ICICI, Vikas worked in the area of design, engineering and construction for large power and refinery projects. Vikas holds a M.B.A. degree in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

 

 

Jeffrey A. Blount

Jeff Blount is the partner-in-charge of Fulbright&Jaworski’s Beijing and Hongkong offices. He also serves as co-chair of Fulbright’s firm-wide International Department, and leads the firm’s practice group.

Mr Blount has lived and worked in Asia since the early 1990’s. For most of the past decade, his practice has been primarily focused on China. His practice primarily involves global infrastructure project development and finance; cross-border mergers and acquisitions; international joint ventures; and foreign investment, commercial and trade transactions.

Throughout his career, Mr Blount has worked on many global infrastructure projects. Among other matters, he has worked on public and privately-funded transportation projects in China, India,Korea and Turkey. He has represented developers, investors and lenders in electric power and other energy projects in China, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. He has worked with developers, operators and suppliers on telecommunications projects in China and other markets in Asia.

Recent professional recognition he has received includes: Chambers Global(2008)( ranked as a leading lawyer in Projects & Energy: Asia Pacific), Chambers Global(2008)(ranked as one of the leading lawyers in China-related Corporate/M&A), Chambers Aisa (2008)(ranked as one of the leading Corporate/M&A lawyers in China and Hongkong), and Asialaw leading Lawyers (2007)(Listed as a leading lawyer in the general corporate practice area).
